Startupbootcamp, Europe’s leading accelerator (Financial Times, 2024), has announced the 10 startups that will participate in the first cycle of its DeepTech & Robotics Accelerator. The accelerator, running from the Dutch HQ in Amsterdam, is a key part of Startupbootcamp's focus on fostering innovation in the rapidly evolving fields of deep technology and robotics.
The DeepTech & Robotics Accelerator aims to support solutions that leverage cutting-edge technologies to revolutionize industries and create new business models. With a focus on scaling impactful technologies, the program will address challenges such as autonomous mobility, Edge AI & Machine Learning, Nanotechnology, and the development of advanced robotics applications, driving innovation within these critical domains.
This accelerator reflects Startupbootcamp’s commitment and mission to support 100,000 startups and transformative technologies to help reach the UN’s SDGs in time. This program not only aims to foster innovations at the forefront of the DeepTech and Robotics domain, but also to support startups in developing sustainable business practices that align with global digital transformation trends.
From over 3,000 applications, only 20 startup teams were shortlisted to participate in the Selection Day. These teams presented their concepts to a curated panel of investors, industry leaders, mentors, partners, and the Startupbootcamp team.
At the end of the Selection Day, ten startups were chosen to join the accelerator program and become part of Startupbootcamp's SBC Bold 2 investment portfolio. Here is an overview of the selected startups:
- Biotitan Nanotechnology - Creating innovative products and formulas to give properties to everyday materials (indoor and outdoor) without changing their aesthetic. We do water-based products, all patented and certified in Italy and Europe
- OZ-TECH - OZ-TECH delivers sustainable, AI-driven robotic solutions that revolutionize farming by enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and promoting eco-friendly practices in the African and MENA regions
- Aim Robotics - A technology-driven company founded in 2023 with a mission to develop innovative robotics solutions that address pressing Social-Economics challenges. Our focus is on leveraging cutting-edge AI, drone technologies, and robotics to create impactful solutions that not only enhance efficiency but also contribute to societal well-being
- Sepsiscan - Developing a medical device for sepsis patient perfusion evaluation to minimise patient mortality
- Rollyy - Autonomous Charging Robots for Electric Vehicles
- Noble Boost - Technology for increasing the bioavailability of nutrients using xenon and krypton
- Tabnomous - Developing advanced-level autonomous mobility solutions for warehouses and factories
- TUCCO - A synergic combination of technologies designed to make the maritime industry cleaner, more efficient and sustainable by tackling biofouling before it forms.
- ZophIA - A tool based on artificial intelligence combined with mathematics, which uses the patient's speech to help diagnose mental disorders.
- Unicorn Labs - An AI-powered app that can predict the development of Alzheimer's disease
The DeepTech & Robotics Accelerator program provides comprehensive support to startups, covering all aspects from product development to investor readiness. Participants will have access to experienced mentors from various industries, a vast network of potential investors, and over €500,000 in partner deals designed to help them achieve their business goals, scale rapidly, and maximize their impact.
Marc Jellema, Program Director of the DeepTech & Robotics Accelerator, shared his excitement about the new cohort: "DeepTech and Robotics are at the frontier of innovation, reshaping industries from manufacturing to healthcare. At Startupbootcamp, we are committed to supporting visionary founders who are pushing the boundaries of what technology can achieve. This program is designed to equip these startups with the resources, mentorship, and network they need to accelerate their growth and make a significant impact on the future. We are thrilled to embark on this journey with our new cohort and see the transformative solutions they will bring to the world."
The accelerator program will culminate with Impact Week, scheduled from the 25th to the 29th of November. Impact Day is the final event where the selected founders will pitch their startups to a select audience of mentors, partners, and investors.
